If you trade in stocks, than you have surely noticed that the free stock quotes available are 20 minutes delayed, and depending on the stock you are trading and the market conditions, that can make a big difference.

Most stock brokers offer real time stock quotes, but sometimes they have a fee attached to them, be sure to find out from your broker if they do provide free real time stock quotes. If they provide them for free, you might still need to use their Java interface on their website, which sometimes becomes inconvenient or slow.

For this reason, I use a software called QuoteTracker (link) which is an ad supported real time stock quotes software. If you are a TD Ameritrade customer, and meet their requirements, the ads will go away too.
